In 1940, 20th Century Fox released its first Mike Shayne film, The Private Practice of Michael Shayne.

That film was the beginning of Mike Shayne in other media.

If you've been reading the copy on the previous pages of this site, you know that many more films followed, produced by Fox and another studio, Producer's Releasing Corporation (PRC).
